PINUS ARI BLUE HERON
Grower Notes:

Pinus aristata 'Blue Heron' is commonly referred to as the Blue Heron Bristlecone Pine, Rocky Mountain Bristlecone Pine or simply Blue Heron Pine. The Bristlecone Pine is one of the oldest trees on earth, with some specimens recorded at over 4,000 years old! The Blue Heron features a narrow habit when young, maturing to a more open and pyramidal form. It is ideal for cooler climates. Its bark is grey-brown and fissured at its base. Its needles are long, and blue-green with a white band on inner surfaces.

The Blue Heron Bristlecone Pine thrives in full sun in average soils. Average water is needed during its growing season, but care should be given to not over-water.
